Esperanza is the Annual Technical and Cultural Fest of Coochbehar Government Engineering College. Started in the year 2019, the fest includes various technical and cultural programmes and competitions. The fest specifically focuses on digital innovation and representation of our college on a global note. Esperanza also acts as a huge opportunity for talent recognition at CGEC. The aim of
conducting the Tech Fest is to provide a platform for the student community to develop and showcase their technical prowess. The motive of including the Cultural Fest is to provide for the holistic development of the personality of the students, giving them a platform to flaunt their talent and also providing a break from the monotonous routine of evaluation and academics.
All the clubs of CGEC like Tech-O-Nicks Club, Pep-Talks Club, Debate Club, Rongomilanti Club, Music Club, etc. get the opportunity to bring up students who are adept in their particular field of interest. The Cultural events held include dance, music, art, flash mob, graffiti, recitation, calligraphy competition and a lot more. Students with interest in the different walks of hobbies get a platform and an objective to perform. The technical events included are coding, robo war, arduino projects, online video gaming, video making, presentations and conferences. Exciting events like DJ night, fashion shows, ramp walks and concerts of well known Indian bands and singers are organized which fill the students with passion and zeal.
The fest brings a sense of community and togetherness among the students of different years and having different fields of speciality. The fest draws attention and participation from students of neighbouring colleges which in turn give the students a chance to medley with people from different walks of life. A strong sense of competitiveness develops in the students which help in increasing efficiency and accuracy.
