Ferns’ was established in 1937, and has a core mission to bring excitement to the most frugal effort in the sometimes mundane task of cooking. Today the brand offers a mouth-watering range of products including Pickles, Pastes, Chutneys, and ready-to-add wet/ dry pastes. Ferns’ is available in India, the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Our products are meticulously prepared with local ingredients on land around us, and go through strict regulations in our BRCGS-certified factory (Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standard, UK). This ensures none of the freshness, and unique flavour is lost during the preparation process. We uphold modern processes with a traditional dignity, that brings nostalgia and excitement to every bite you eat!
The brand came to life in Mrs. Fernandes’ humble kitchen in Kirkee (now Khadki), Pune, after she moved there with her husband from Goa in 1927. As she honed her culinary skills, Mrs. Fernandes transformed the quintessential Goan recipe into something inspiring. The British Soldiers quickly fell in love with her ready to eat & ready to add creations, especially the Brinjal and Lime Pickles, Lemon Squashes, and Mango Jellies. In 1937, the brand Ferns’ came into existence through this success.
Today our State-Of-the-Art factory prepares all our products with high quality and is equipped with technology to do the same. Spanning 20,000 sq. ft., our huge factory allows us to ramp up our production quantity without compromising the quality. The main bottling plant is fully automated with its parts imported from Holland and Taiwan. The food factory has been designed and built under strict BRCGS guidelines and adheres to GFSI Health and Safety Parameters.
