The Centre for Doctoral Training for Resilient Flood Futures (FLOOD-CDT) is on the cutting edge of flood management research, and we’re looking for passionate, driven PhD candidates to lead the way. As a FLOOD-CDT PhD student, you will:
Receive a tax-free stipend of £20,780 per year, alongside full tuition coverage and an additional £8,000 research and training grant.
Undertake multidisciplinary research that tackles real-world flood challenges both environmentally and societally.
Collaborate closely with industry experts, government agencies, and world-leading academics.

This prestigious £6.5 million initiative, funded by the Natural Environment Research Council, the Environment Agency, and other key partners, will support at least 56 fully funded PhD studentships across four cohorts.
