The Gadgeti name was born in the first few weeks of pre-pandemic 2020, which now seem as though from another time. The inspiration behind it, however, was conceived during a much longer period of personal adjustment, observation and search for inspiration. Living in different countries and experiencing diametrically opposite cultures, gives a new perspective on both the greater matters of life as well as the countless everyday facets that we tend to overlook and even ignore. It immediately gives the urge to find the differences, though after certain time passes, this urge transforms into strife to find the similarities. The most common, shared characteristics all over the world are the eagerness for joy, the healing power of laughter and the magnetic allure of a smile.
The mission that drives Gadgeti is to look at the world and all that is inside it, see not what the reality of today wants to present, but how tomorrow could be made better. At its heart is the ability… no, the desire to take a mundane piece of our repetitive routine and reimagine it to become a source of thrill and inspiration as well as the object of a smile. The Gadgeti mind claws its way out of the box created by the ordinary to find the freedom of personal expression and feel the excitement of creation. Admittedly, the box cannot be always avoided but we tend to use ours for packaging.
As you might have already deduced, the first products meant to carry the Gadgeti name were gadgets. However, during the unsettling pandemic quarantine with all its limitations and restrictions, one thing proved more resilient than the surrounding crisis: the ability to stay true to yourself, to adjust, grow and change under the circumstances of our world. And this is how in the darkness of trying times, Gadgeti transformed, maybe even evolved, into a beacon of hope and colour ready to welcome all who accept the necessity of perseverance, but refuse to do it without style.
