Building on the design and development experiences over the last seven years with Games + Learning + Society and Learning Games Network, the development team that brought you Virulent, Crystals of Kaydor, Econauts, and At Play in the Cosmos is starting Gear, a new game development studio at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research at the University of Wisconsin.
Gear’s highly specialized group of designers and developers have worked together for over seven years and have the experience to help shape the way people learn. Our team has created games and digital media for use in both formal and informal learning environments with content ranging from empathic accuracy and neuroscience to creating museum exhibits designed to teach the basics of electrical circuits.
