The German Placement Centre supports people who want to study at a German university, a college, or a German Language school: a) with initial general advice regarding the application conditions… This advice on our website is free of charge b) with specific advice on individual study possibilities and their conditions, documentation and processes at all German institutions of higher education and partner language schools as well as full support in preparing and processing the concrete application. This specific advice requires individual research and will only be undertaken after a fee of EUR 350 has been paid up front. c) with screening of all documents to be submitted as to correctness and completeness and the capacity of the target institution to accept the applicant as a student. This additional service carries an additional fee of EUR 150. The service is provided in full trust and confidence that both the applicant´s and the institution´s documentations are correct, complete, and up-to-date. GPC accepts no legal responsibility in cases where these are neither correct nor complete nor up-to-date d) in case the support mentioned under b) and c) is wanted for a 2nd or 3rd university application, an additional charge of EUR 150 per case will be due for the research. e) if the applicant wants further support up to the door of the admission office or the UniAssist agency, an additional handling fee of EUR 200 is due. GPC cannot and does not guarantee acceptance of applications by the institution(s) applied to. This is totally the decision of the institutions taken according to their own criteria and for their own reasons. Entry requirements In order to be qualified for university courses and programmes which you wish to apply for, you must meet certain general and specific entry requirements. These requirements differ depending on the level of the course or programme you have applied to – bachelor’s, or master’s, or doctorate – and what is generally required by the university to which you are applying. Once a student has met the general entry requirements for all studies at the bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral level, he/she must also check what specific entry requirements are needed for the course or programme he/she wishes to apply for. For example, engineering courses may require that a student have successfully completed a higher level of mathematics. GPC will help applicants to understand the system and to find out what the general and particular requirements are for a wished-for course or programme at any German university. Different entry requirements for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels We have divided entry requirements into two sections: one for bachelor’s (first cycle) courses and programmes, and one for master’s (second cycle); courses and programmes at the doctoral level have very individualized requirements.
