Hovver email format

Hovver is a collaboration between Australian artist Katherine Brice and American artist Chris Lunney. Combining Brice’s background in architecture, with Lunney’s in design technology, the two create experiential works that investigate various phenomena of light, sound, and space. Through innovation in audiovisual, mechanical, and electrochemical production techniques, Hovver continually pushes the boundaries of contemporary installation and sculpture. In an age of augmented reality, their works focus on the physical, exploring the boundaries of perception and encouraging viewers to manifest visceral, ethereal, and introspective moments. Hovver’s work has been shown at Industry City, Brooklyn; Day for Night Festival, Houston, TX; as part of Wallplay’s ON CANAL in New York City; Constellations, Metz France; and Scopitone, Nantes, France. They have been featured in Interview Magazine, The Creators Project, and Vice. In 2017 Hovver was selected for the Simon’s Sandbox Fellowship at New Lab in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where the studio continues to operate.
