Founded in 1977 with just 300 members, Illini Pride has grown into one of the largest and most spirited student organizations at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. With a deep commitment to supporting all varsity sports, Illini Pride offers students a front-row seat to Illini athletics while fostering school spirit, leadership, and community engagement.
Our flagship sections include:
Block I – The official student section for Illinois Football, known for its iconic halftime card stunts, road trips, exclusive giveaways, and some of the best seats in Memorial Stadium.
Orange Krush – One of the most recognizable student sections in college basketball, Orange Krush provides an electric game-day atmosphere and organizes surprise road trips to opposing arenas. Through the Orange Krush Foundation, the section raises significant funds each year to support charitable causes, with over $2 million donated to date. A portion of these funds is distributed annually through community grants to local organizations in the Champaign-Urbana area, further reinforcing Orange Krush's impact beyond athletics.
Spike Squad – A fast-growing volleyball fan section bringing unmatched energy to Huff Hall. Members enjoy exclusive perks like road trips, t-shirts, and match-day giveaways.
Olympic Sports – From soccer to gymnastics, Illini Pride members enjoy special access, free gear, and contests across all non-revenue sports.
Philanthropy Events – At its core, Illini Pride is committed to giving back to the campus and local community. Members regularly participate in a wide range of service initiatives, including blood and food drives, elementary school engagement, and local volunteering efforts.
