Impel is a leading inclusive development consultancy. We work internationally, providing high-quality technical support to strengthen the inclusion of marginalised groups in global development and to foster a greater focus on the barriers and power dynamics that contribute to their exclusion. We apply a social inclusion lens across our work, routinely undertaking analysis and research to understand and respond to barriers to inclusion and participation. We focus equally on particular sub-groups and on intersectionality (e.g. multiple simultaneous discrimination due to gender, race, disability, sexual identity and orientation, and other attributes).
Impel has a strong in-house team with considerable experience of social inclusion, including a large global network of proven professionals. Over more than 20 years of working in global development and humanitarian action we have worked closely with bilateral donors, foundations, multilateral agencies and civil society organizations to ensure a greater focus on inclusion. We offer a full range of services across the programme cycle (research and analysis, programme design and planning, implementation and monitoring, evaluation and learning); we’re able to help all organisations strengthen their focus on social inclusion.
