Interyl Consulting provides expert services to Medical Device Executive Management and R&D Management. It works closely with its clients to grow existing businesses and transition into new areas. With extensive international experience, Doug Franz, the founder, is especially adept at enabling cross-cultural collaboration at the highest levels. Doug lived in Asia and Europe working with multinational companies to increase global business, establish R&D Labs, and lead the transition into new research and development models. As the General Manager and Corporate VP of a Taiwan based Medical Division, Doug led the initial product introduction and then grew customers, employees, and product portfolio to more than 5 times over 6 years. The division developed and manufactured diabetes and imaging solutions. A few products included - glucose meters, endoscopes, and electronics for X-ray equipment. Customers were based in the USA, Europe, Asia, and Japan. Before this, Doug worked 6 years in Singapore for Hewlett Packard. As an R&D Director, he established and actively led Labs in Singapore, USA, China, and Taiwan. The Labs developed - OfficeJet printers, Mobile printers, B-size printers, Digital Cameras, ASICs, Firmware, and Web-based Solutions. His key expertise was creating R&D organizations while establishing robust processes that delivered high-quality product designs. Highlights in R&D and Business Management while at HP Colorado, Spain, and Washington include: - Member of manager team growing HP Spain R&D Lab by 4 times over 3 years - Colorado division “Turn-around” management team member winning the “HP President’s Award”, - Co-inventor on HP breakthrough inkjet photo printing technology. Throughout his HP career, Doug defined and developed solutions for Enterprise, Small/Medium Businesses, and Consumer customers from early concepts to manufacturing launch.
