Island Christian Academy opened its doors in 2012, and has grown to become a highly respected member of Hong Kong’s educational sector. Island Christian Academy has strong roots in Hong Kong, being a collaboration between Generations Christian Education, established for over 30 years; and the Chinese YMCA, which has been a part of Hong Kong’s community sector since 1901 and has been present on Bridges Street since 1918. The historic 70 Bridges Street school site dates back to 1912, when it was originally a youth hostel. Today, remnants of the original stone can still be seen in Island Christian Academy’s first aid room on the ground floor.
