KiwisInSTEM is a community that aims to support the ever-increasing numbers of Kiwis living in the United Kingdom.
Leaving your home country is challenging, and KiwisInSTEM aims to help ease this transition through community.
Additionally, we believe Aotearoa deserves to be competitive in STEM on the world stage, so we're also enabling talented New Zealanders to maintain and grow connections back home.
We have four goals:
1. Form connections between New Zealanders working in STEM
2. Broadcast new opportunities to our members through shared contacts
3. Demonstrate our technical talent to the world
4. Maintain strong connections with New Zealand
We are partnered with the NZUK Link Foundation (https://www.nzuklink.co.uk/) which has championed relationships between NZ and the UK for over 30 years.
The Link foundation has, over time, forged strong connections in the UK with the wider NZ expat community. Thanks to the presence of both the NZ and UK High Commissioners as honorary trustees, it is also uniquely positioned within the NZ community in the United Kingdom.
