Mountain View Fire and Rescue, formerly known as King County Fire District 44, has been serving a population of over 32,000 people across 70 square miles since 1953. Our service area includes the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe and the City of Black Diamond, with prominent landmarks such as Flaming Geyser State Park and Pacific Raceways. With mutual aid agreements with neighboring fire departments and advanced life support services provided by King County Medic One, we respond to approximately 2,800 alarms each year, mostly medical-related. Our 35 career firefighters, along with dedicated volunteers, strive to provide timely responses and top-notch services to the community. Under the leadership of our elected Board of Commissioners, our team, led by Fire Chief Dawn Judkins and Deputy Fire Chief Dustin Trout, operates out of 7 stations equipped with a variety of vehicles for firefighting, rescue operations, and medical aid.
