Formulated as a consortium of seven national level commercial banks, with aim to pool the resources of these banks together and establish a common platform, which will be more secure, reliable and able to encompass the rapid growth of new technologies in electronic payments.

Currently NePS has 15 institutions as its shareholder consisting of commercial banks and development banks
NePS is at the moment providing processing services to 9 commercial banks and 4 development banks and is working to bring rest of the member banks into its service.
NePS aims to be a leading payment processor in coming days and sees its member comprising of entire financial institution community
