" I started Home Run Films in 2016 after noticing in several job assignments that Companies’ core values often talked about ‘Putting Customers First’. There was never any mention of Employees… I began to wonder how that made them feel, in terms of being valued by their business. Surely a motivated and engaged employee first and foremost made for a happy customer? Shouldn’t both be as valued as the other? Having originally trained as an Actor at LAMDA and then combining that skillset with work as a Communications Manager and Learning & Development practitioner for many large corporates, I have seen first-hand how audiences respond to “Engagement”. With experience of film making, on both sides of the lens, I know the power of film to captivate an audience and the medium of film is often the most effective and memorable way of delivering a ‘story’. People love a good story. We have consistently found that the best engagement and changes of behaviour come from using a story and/or characters as a talking point. With film, the advantage is that it’s active, people can relate to the character or situation, and the emotional investment made is deeper and therefore lasts longer. Having fun with film is one of our guiding principles. Home Run Films brings together a group of like-minded collaborators from disciplines in filmmaking, theatre and business so we put ourselves in yours and your audience's shoes and take the time and effort to understand your needs to ensure we deliver the right type of content tailored for your company’s culture, business objectives and 'customer' desires.
