Project Pehchaan was an initiative of Next Generation Pakistan (NGP), which is a youth-based organization comprising of students from different schools across Lahore.
Our aims include socially uplifting the trans-gender community by normalizing their presence within our society as well as to lessen the stigma and stereotypes commonly associated with them while economically uplifting trans-gender individuals by providing them with opportunities to become sustainably employed.
Our efforts are now also being directed towards improving healthcare access and quality for LGBTQ+ identifying individuals, starting in Lahore, through various means such as health camps, awareness seminars and the introduction of the first clinic for individuals from this community looking for a safe, discrimination-free space to access basic health services.
