A start-up launched from the University of British Columbia Press, RavenSpace is transformative, recognizing the need for publishing that reflects new models of collaboration between Indigenous creators, Indigenous communities and scholarly co-creators.

RavenSpace is committed to advancing the goals of the UN Decade of Indigenous Voices. Our digital publications allow authors to share their recordings and video of songs, storytelling, oral narratives in their Indigenous tongue, and dance, along with interactive location mapping.
Critically-endangered languages are losing their native speakers. Fluent elders such as Elsie Paul, a Tla'amin-speaking author of As I Remember It (link below), see RavenSpace as essential for them to pass along the teachings of their elders and grandparents.
