Our hybrid pipe sleeper is a revolutionary design that combines the best attributes of conventional industrial sleepers with smart safety features. Weighing less than 65 pounds, our sleepers are light and easy to transport, simple and quick to install, have exceptional longevity, and are fully recyclable after its 25-year lifespan. The universal saddle accommodates pipe diameters between 4" and 36" without any modifications with 10" of ground clearance and we have several custom designs available. These innovative sleepers consist of a lightweight, heavy duty, high-impact, corrosion-free, UV-stabilized HDPE shell with a steel insert for strength and are rated to support point loads of 25,000 pounds. Our lower cost sleepers are designed to replace the current practice of skilled trades people installing conventional concrete and steel sleepers that are expensive to manufacture, expensive and challenging to position, and difficult to reuse. These sleepers are also the perfect alternative to cheap temporary wooden dunnage as they are lightweight, easy to install quickly, and reusable. Our hybrid sleepers were originally designed and field-tested for the harsh conditions of the Canadian oil sands so you know they're tough! They have been installed on everything from virgin muskeg to engineered surfaces and on grades of up to 5% as the sleeper moves with the pipeline as it expands and contracts.
