Die Sea Punks sind ein gemeinnütziger Verein aus Bad Kreuznach, der sich für das Thema Seenotrettung von Geflüchteten im Mittelmeer einsetzt. Zusammen mit Mission Lifeline haben wir bereits ein Schiff, die Rise Above, zu einem Seenotrettungsschiff umgebaut. Mittlerweile hat sie schon etliche Menschenleben gerettet.
Im vergangenen Jahr konnten wir dank einer groß angelegten Spendenkampagne und prominenten Unterstützer*innen wie Bela B., Mark Benecke und El Hotzo, 195.000 € sammeln und haben davon ein Rettungsschiff gekauft, welches wir nun in einer Werft auf seine zukünftigen Missionen vorbereiten.
