Founded in 2017 by Su Turner, a governance expert and former National Leader of Governance, Shaping Governance was created to address the challenges governors, trustees, and non-executives face. Grounded in Su’s extensive experience as a governor and from her work at a national good governance charity, the organisation has evolved from a standalone evaluation tool into a leading provider of governance improvement services. Our mission is rooted in empowering these leaders to excel in their roles and make a lasting impact on the children, communities, and organisations they serve.
Our flagship program, Shaping Governance® Improvement, breaks down barriers to effective governance by equipping governors with the skills and confidence to excel. Through practical and collaborative approaches, we empower governors to maximise their time, improve educational outcomes, and make a meaningful difference.
