Since 2013, SLYSTEEL has been designing, wholesaling, and retailing their unique knives that serve their owner in the most demanding circumstances without failure. Oliver Hannan started SLYSTEEL around his designs for the Shark Tooth Tactical and Shark Tooth Hunter knives with the Patented Split Finger Guard. He designed the C.U.M.A. Lone Survivor, a bushcraft kukri-style knife. That knife was the concept of TOPS knife designer, Controlled F.O.R.C.E. certified combat instructor and martial artist Waysun Johnny Tsai of the Chicago-based C.U.M.A. Survivor School. More than two years of design and six months of rigorous testing and evaluation have resulted in a remarkably well balanced and versatile survival tool. The Lone Survivor combines the functionality demanded by modern survivalists, while remaining faithful to its kukri inspiration.
