Sound Gallery Studios is a professional recording studio run by social enterprise Sound Gallery CIC and founded by award winning musician and social entrepreneur Grice Peters in 2008.
Sound Gallery Studios, is Exeter’s longest running recording studio, used by high profile music industry artists including sax legend Raphael Ravenscroft (Baker street, Pink Floyd), Joss Stone, Slowdive, Jim Reid (The Jesus and Mary Chain), Curved Air, Steve Howe (YES/Asia), David Knopfler (Dire Straits), the film industry (Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Star Trek: Picard), as well as emerging bands and artists.
We also provide voice-over services (wild and to picture) for the film industry, TV, radio, podcasts, interviews advertising agencies, and film promos and music videos from our new creative space THE SUB.
Our mission is to nurture emerging musicians, to provide access to expertise and resources, to discover under the radar talent and to further careers in the music industry.
As part of our social agenda, we run music enrichment programmes for fragile young people (Rising Artists Camp, Access to SiMPTI) and a bespoke work experience programme for young people who wish to pursue a career in the music industry.
Our friendly, experienced and highly skilled team has over 20 years experience working with emerging and established bands, singer-songwriters, vocalists, musicians, producers and actors as well as music industry professionals, record labels, music publishers, book publishers, advertising agencies, theatre companies, TV & film production companies (Fox Searchlight) and radio stations (BBC Radio 4) from the UK and around the world.
Sound Gallery Studios are run by social enterprise Sound Gallery CIC. We invest in our music enrichment and training programmes for fragile young people who are experiencing barriers in accessing creative and educational opportunities due to their socio-economic background and mental health issues.
