1990 yılından bu yana Türkiye’de ve uluslar arası platformlarda Aile Hekimliğinin temsilciliğini yürüten TAHUD (Türkiye Aile Hekimleri Uzmanlık Derneği - Turkish Association of Family Physicians) Aile Hekimliği uzmanlık öğrencileri ve uzmanlarından oluşan üyeleri ile birlikte çalışmalarına devam etmektedir.
TAHUD bugüne kadar olduğu gibi, gelecekte de birinci basamakta çalışan hekimler için bir adres olma hedefini, dernek tüzüğü doğrultusunda tüm sağlık çalışanları ve toplum için Aile Hekimliği ile ilgili güncel ve güvenilir bilgi kaynağına erişim işlevini sürdürüyor. TAHUD üyelerinin belirlediği dernek yönetimi ile birlikte bu perspektifi tamamlamak için Yeterlilik Kurulu, Bilim Dalları, Şube Yönetimleri, Süreli Yayınları, Kongre ve Sempozyumlarıyla çalışmalarına devam ediyor.
