GrowTH is an initiative by local churches in Tower Hamlets to respond to homelessness in our local community. Our main project is an emergency night shelter which provides a place to sleep and hot meals in local churches for homeless men and women as well as support in moving forward in life and securing more permanent accommodation. Our night shelter operates for seven months of the year and guests are welcomed from the local area without discrimination or favour.
We also run a housing project as a stepping stone to help people move towards more independent living.
GrowTH is centred on the love of Jesus, so we want to share that love with those we work with. We do this through our actions and our words, so those we work with have the opportunity to not only receive practical support, but also to hear and explore the life-giving message of Jesus if they want to.
