Yogi Rey (Rey Shaun Madolora) is a yoga instructor based in Austin, Texas when he is not traveling the world. He has been practicing yoga for more than 10yrs and completed his RYT 200 in Ashtanga-Vinyasa with Tribe Yoga in Goa, India. Rey has also traveled to Mysore, India to study Ashtanga at the Mystic School under the guidance of Shashi Kumar and Classical Hatha under Bharath Shetty, a pupil of BKS Iyengar. Rey has also traveled to the north of India to study Hatha Yoga with Yoga Vini in Rishikesh. In the US he has studied Ayurveda with Falicia Tomasko and Yoga Anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff who are both pioneers in their respective expertise.
Rey is an avid Mountain Biker and Cyclist (Racing Cat1 MTB, Cat2 CX, and Cat 3 Road) and prefers teaching yin and restorative styles of yoga to balance the body after training long hours on the bike (a sequence of yoga asana that is also great for avid runners and other athletes). He also likes to encourage great core stability through Hatha and Vinyasa Flow yoga while continuing to focus on his roots in Ashtanga.
