Met Young FENIX streven we naar een samenleving waar jongeren overal en ten allen tijde kunnen spreken over hoe ze zich voelen. We willen praten over mentale (on)gezondheid uit de taboesfeer halen. We zijn een burgerinitiatief dat gedragen wordt door een sterk en multidisciplinair team van ervaren vrijwilligers. Zij zijn werkzaam als sociaal werker, opbouwwerker, orthopedagoog, therapeut, enz. Een team dat bovendien een weerspiegeling is van de superdiverse samenleving.
Met Young FENIX maken we mentaal welzijn bespreekbaar vanuit een divers-sensitief perspectief. We realiseren dat door op volgende pijlers in te zetten.
- Een laagdrempelig aanbod voor jongeren waar zij beroep kunnen doen op gratis, anonieme en vrijblijvende coachingstrajecten. Een traject kan zowel online als offline doorgaan.
- Onze welzijnscoaches gaan outreachend te werk en zoeken jongeren op daar waar zij komen. Denk aan pleintjes, scholen en dergelijke meer.
- Ons vormingsaanbod richt zich op het praten over mentaal welzijn vanuit een divers-sensitieve insteek. We creëren een aanbod voor zowel jongeren en hun netwerk als andere welzijnsprofessionals.
- Via de Young FENIX podcasts creëren we een platform waar jongeren in alle vrijheid en veiligheid kunnen spreken over hoe zij zich voelen en over wat hen bezighoudt.
