We are a social enterprise founded to bring in our work as a force for good in ensuring a safe and liveable environment. By creating eco-friendly alternatives using locally available, natural and biodegradable raw materials, we are committed to shifting communities away from the use of plastic bags and packaging materials. Our primary focus is on designing and producing eco-friendly alternatives to traditional plastic bags and packaging materials. Our unique selling proposition lies in our innovative use of organic and biodegradable agricultural waste, specifically banana pseudostems.
The process begins with the careful sourcing of the banana pseudostems, which are abundantly available and often underutilized after banana harvesting by farmers. Banana pseudostems, for instance, are often discarded as agricultural waste after harvesting the fruit.
We employ a meticulous production process that involves extracting fibres from the banana pseudostems. These natural fibres serve as the foundation for crafting a variety of packaging solutions, ranging from carrier bags to other customized packaging materials. The emphasis is not only on creating environmentally sustainable alternatives but also on offering customizable options to meet the specific needs of different customer segments.
One key aspect that sets us apart is our commitment to affordability. Recognizing that cost can be a significant barrier to the adoption of eco-friendly alternatives, we aim to provide accessible and budget-friendly packaging solutions.
