My career began over 3 years ago with Wabtec. I quickly advanced from an intern to a full-time Embedded Software Engineer after graduating with a Bachelors in Computer Engineering from Florida Tech, with Honors. While at Wabtec, I've been instrumental in many software projects, including encrypting train log files for Over-the-Air reporting, enabling real-time data streaming with a command/reply server, and creating a serial driver for a device that reads RFID tags on the track to limit the speed of the locomotive. It's rewarding to know that software I've written is actively powering locomotives today!Currently an essential part of the Remote Control Locomotive team, I write software for performing various train yard operations, helping bring automation to train yards around the country. Most of my work is done in the GreenHills Integrity RTOS in C++, with some projects in C in FreeRTOS and .NET C# tools. I'm also championing automated testing and Test-Driven Development, hoping to convince other team members of its benefits.
