Formed and led 12 member cross-functional team to ready the business and staff to go to market under new brand name with zero operational disruptions or adverse impacts to customers. Acted as Business sponsor and provided oversight to IT projects ($150K), updating ERP systems and email domain to reflect new brand. Directed renaming and legal registrations of legal entities (US, Canada, UK, Belgium, Germany, and Singapore) within applicable countries, and financial and regulatory institutions. Conducted global and regional staff engagements through multiple platforms and developed messaging for customers and suppliers.Orchestrated updates to product labels, quotes, invoices, and associated shipping documents, ensuring no interruptions to customer deliveries due to customs or other shipping issues.

Leadership team member of Shell’s catalyst business with ~$1B annual revenue, and provided financial and management acumen while delivering record earnings. Directed global finance team (onshore and offshore), consisting of 17 staff across 5 countries and 20 finance operations employees in India. Directed and guided quality and timeliness of results through planning, priority setting, and clear accountabilities focused on competency development for onshore and offshore finance staff. Directed business planning, conducted performance appraisals with leadership, commercial and operations teams. Coordinated risk and assurance process and provided assurance on finance processes for business.

Led planning effort over 5 year period to move business from loss position to sustainable cash engine for Royal Dutch Shell. Leveraged business knowledge to challenge plan submissions and ensure appropriate stretch was included in plans. Coordinated, prepared and presented plan to senior leadership. Managed team of 3; however, job required delivery through many other non-direct reports including, 7 strategy managers, 10 finance managers and their staff, representing 9 global product lines and 4 joint ventures.

Supported CIO’s leadership team by managing and presenting key risks and mitigation related to ITVision program that reduced year on year IT spend by $800M. Facilitated IT assurance committee and risk reviews with CIO’s leadership team. Served as member of IT finance leadership team, finance VP and board member of Shell Information Technology Inc. Acted as ethics and compliance manager and oversaw compliance program for corporate IT.
