Areas of capability include carbon capture and storage, environmental risk assessment and mitigation, geosciences, environmental audits, sustainability, environmental externalities, life cycle analysis, regulatory compliance, regulatory analysis, induced seismicity risk and mitigation, issues and trends, water treatment chemistry and management, contractor oversight, waste management, remediation, and strategic advice on environmental issues. My goal in consulting is to provide value and innovative solutions to customers that provide overall cost savings.Recent activities have included: presenting on carbon capture and storage at an IOGCC meeting, moderating a panel on HSE and ESG for water sustainability at the Produced Water Seminar, presenting at an SPE event on Regulations, Current Practices and Research Needs Concerning Produced Water, participating on the editorial committee for the latest revision of the State Oil and Gas Regulatory Exchange Induced Seismicity Primer, and a presentation at the Ground Water Protection Council virtual annual conference on changes to the Potential Induced Seismicity Guide. Prepared an extensive white paper on potential induced seismicity related to carbon dioxide injection into saline aquifers for a private client. Provided consulting services to a company in India on carbon capture and sequestration strategy. Involved in ongoing projects on carbon sequestration and geothermal wells.I am a member of the National Alliance for Water Innovation, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Produced Water Society, the Carbon Capture Coalition, and the American Rock Mechanics Association.
