Selected as one of 11 Fellows chosen from a highly competitive national pool of candidates. The Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs is one of the premiere, full time postgraduate programs in the country. This experiential leadership training program prepares diverse, talented and committed individuals for effective and ethical leadership in the public affairs arena. Coro Fellows develop skills and master tools needed to engage and empower communities, gain experience in government, business, labor, electoral politics and nonprofit organizations, and participate in special community and political problem solving processes.

• Managed 12 college interns and delegate roles of canvassing, research, and other forms of outreach• Coordinated with campaign consultant to strategize voter outreach, social media content, mailer content/design, policy vision, and fundraising• Assisted the candidate in various hiring decisions, campaign structure, planning, coordinating, and inviting community members to campaign events, and accompanied him to various meetings with community members

• Created comprehensive client look books and researched/drafted client pitches to be sent out to TV, print, and other media producers• Updated, maintained, and designed firm website to highlight firm information and attract more clients• Extensively researched and selected potential down ballot candidates across the country for the firm to acquire

• Researched and outlined statutory and case law involving the use of force and confidentiality of police personnel records in an effort to establish civilian review of use of force incidents in the City of Claremont• Drafted bill ideas, policy memos, and issue briefs regarding polities that may serve as solutions for the California housing crisis• Testified in the California Senate Public Safety Committee on behalf of Councilmember Leano regarding AB 1022, a peace officers use of force bill

• Worked alongside interns and staff to research and create policy briefings on issues affecting the San Fernando Valley• Contributed to the weekly constituent newsletter, informing SFV residents of current events, public health and safety guidance, and other resources• Attended virtual meetings regarding public transportation, COVID-19 updates, and Metro Finance Updates in the SFV

• Managed and motivated a team of 200+ volunteers virtually over Slack and Zoom• Hosted live virtual trainings on Zoom to volunteers about making calls, using the dialer, and how to have effective persuasive conversations• Part of a voter contact effort that made 399,981 calls using a predictive dialer (COS) and sent 458,448 peer-2-peer text messages (in Spoke) to voters across the state of Alaska to share information about Alyse and persuade voters to support her

• Assisted in writing memos, letters of support/opposition for committee hearings, creating bill files, taking part and preparing members for Advocacy Days and attended many legislative hearings in the California State Capitol• Attended meetings with legislative members as well as with the greater California Education Coalition • Read and annotated the 2019 as well as the 2020 Budget Bill and Education Trailer Bill
