I am a Florida-based artist and designer seeking an internship to achieve the experience that can enhance my working skills and help develop my skills and knowledge within my field. I have experience working with softwares such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, and Word.I have always been interested in the creative field, having gained an interest in art and drawing since elementary school. Expressing feelings and communication through words can be difficult, so the idea of art as a non-verbal medium for expression seemed very powerful and effective to me. I further became interested in painting after exploring different mediums, mainly in 2D, digital, and traditional art. My interest in the arts then bled into my interest to make a change through my skills and interests. This led me to advertising. Advertising is a powerful tool that reflects and affects our society. The social media and creative aspects of advertising gained my interest and so I decided to explore the field more. After exploration, my interest became even larger, and I fell in love with advertising and its broad field which allowed me to explore and utilize all my interests and skills. With this, I hope to be able to have an impact and translate important messages through my work in the future.I have experience working in a corporate environment, with five years of a summer internship in the accounting department within Massey Services. This work gave me insight into a different workforce, giving me skills in filling, organizing, bills, and purchase orders. This gave me the skill to work in different environments and adjust as I worked in several sections within the accounting department. I also have experience as a creative intern in Massey Services marketing department and as a captain on the digital marketing team in the Dance Marathon located at my university. My interests that go beyond graphic design and advertising are fashion, dance, and music. I am the president of one of the only non-audition dance clubs on my campus, Dancin’ Gators. I am also in Genesis Dance Crew, which is a K-pop cover dance crew based in Gainesville, FL. Additionally, I have choreographed and am in several organizations such as ACE, CASA (Chinese American Student Association), and FSA (Filipino Student Association). With all my interest and skills, I hope to create an environment where I can help better society and help those in need.I am eager to further my knowledge and experience within the graphic design and advertising field and am anticipating what the future holds for me!
