The Centre for Experiential Learning is focused on enriching student learning experiences through our EL and WIL programs and opportunities. Higher education is a pathway to personal and professional fulfilment. Mohawk College’s efforts in curating an offering of comprehensive and high-quality EL activities ensures that our students continually grow, develop, and achieve this fulfilment. I'm supporting and aligning collective efforts towards this vision. To that end, I'm also an active member in EWO and CEWIL.

I oversaw the Business Administration Marketing, Business Accounting, Insurance, and Urban & Regional Planning Technician - GIS Co-op programs. We offer comprehensive support and professional development for co-op students to prepare them for the future of work. I led the college's successful application for CEWIL accreditation of 23 co-op education programs, the first time in Mohawk College’s 50+ year history of Co-operative Education that we have received external accreditation, attesting to the quality of our experiential & work-integrated learning programs, and our leadership in this space.

I provided mentorship and coaching to graduate and undergraduate students across Brock's 40+ co-op programs through an ethics of care. I designed and delivered student services to maximize success in the burgeoning careers of our co-op students. I also supported co-op students through every phase of their co-op degree at Brock.

I managed the portfolio of math and science co-op programs, encouraging both student success and deep employer partnerships.

I managed Western Canada accounts with public and private educational institutions from K12 to post-secondary. Traveled extensively across Canada to meet with lab personnel, instructors, and senior administration to propose equipment for labs. Participated in several conferences domestically and internationally for trainings and business developments (ATA in Banff AB, BETT in London UK, National Instruments in Austin, TX; etc.).I prepared RFPs in collaboration with our supplier partners and expertise for larger scaled projects.Major projects include being awarded RFQs for significant physics and chemical engineering lab upgrades in post-secondary institutions in AB.

Relied on strong relationship management skills to build and manage a 7-figure portfolio of corporate accounts in Eastern Canada. Worked strategically with internal technology experts to propose solutions to clients for critical projects. Major projects include working directly with CTO of a large Canadian security firm for a mission critical server upgrade.

Researched the sociology of time-discipline within industry, labour economics, and consumer culture.Worked closely with academic supervisors to research, write, draft and revise major research paper.Prepared and delivered conference presentations at the PCA/ACA National Conferences (2013, 2014).

Assisted in the creation of a digital online archive of the Innis Film Society.Curated, digitized, and managed the collection of archival data.Built an Excel database to organize and reference the digitized collection.

Hasher Aging And Cognition Lab

Investigated age effects on circadian rhythms, implicit and explicit memory, inhibitory processes, and speed of information processing.Tested older adults for mild cognitive dysfunction in domains such as attention and concentration, executive functions, memory, language, visuoconstructional skills, conceptual thinking, calculation and orientation.
