I continued the responsibility for managing the DSO while adding responsibilities of general procedures in accounts receivable and accounts payable, creating monthly/quarterly financial statements, and completed any accounting or excel ad hoc requests. Additionally, I created a VBA application for consolidating the US and CAD financial statements and participated in due diligence efforts for a multi-million dollar asset merger. The due diligence efforts included: comparing and creating forecasting models, general pricing research, and completing any additional accounting requests on a tight deadline.

After my first year of university, I joined ThinkOn Inc. as a summer intern in their finance and accounting department. During this time, I completed transferring data to their new in-house database, participated in general accounting procedures, and was tasked with improving their day sales outstanding. My excel VBA experience allowed me to create a program that automatically reached out to accounts based on provided criteria. By the end of the summer internship, I reduced their current DSO by approximately 30%.
