Open-minded to emerging methods, I thrive on problem solving through structure-based drug design that can expedite the novel drug discovery pipeline.I solve high-resolution protein structure with corresponding complexed drug and analyze key residues for binding as guidance for lead optimization. Using the cutting-edge technique of cryo-EM, I process high-resolution data for protein samples at varying scale. I am also experienced in structure-based drug screening and drug-target binding free energy estimation. Some highlights from my work:• Discovered an allosteric inhibitor for cancer therapy targeting PDK-1 protein. • Resolved high-resolution cryo-EM structures for 3 types of Herpesviruses, which cause severe disease to humans, including cancer. • Mentored academic clients from top-tier universities in China in the use of cryo-EM data processing software applications.I am looking forward to further developing my research skills in the pharmaceutical industry.
