I advise UK-based and multi-national companies on all aspects of labour and employment law. The Legal 500 lists me as a "Next Generation Partner" for employment and highlights my combination of "commercial advice with a personal touch" with Chambers & Partners referring to my advice as "commercial, clear and concise".I have a particular focus on employment issues arising on corporate mergers and acquisitions and in commercial outsourcing arrangements. I also advise regularly on international employment law and have extensive experience of leading large cross-border restructuring projects.Recent work includes:• Advising on all employment aspects connected to the acquisition of an international food manufacturing group for £300m and the associated transfer of more than 300 staff;• Advising a US-based multinational corporation on the employment and labour aspects of a technology start-up acquisition for circa $300m;• Acting for a US-based investing and advisory firm on its acquisition of a London property management business, advising on all employment aspects of the deal; and• Co-ordinating advice for a UK-based global Plc on an internal restructuring exercise involving intra-group TUPE transfers in more than 20 different countries.More generally, I have extensive experience of advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues, including senior executive recruitment and exits, collective redundancies, complex disciplinary and grievance procedures, changing terms and conditions, agency workers' rights and working time issues. I also have considerable experience of defending Employment Tribunal proceedings, regularly advising on claims of unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, discrimination, trade union detriment and whistleblowing.
