I worked on the Embedded Safety team. Our team owns the embedded system that networks with all mobile robots in the structure to ensure operator safety. During the course of my internship, I got hands-on experience in embedded system FreeRTOS TCP/UDP networking and system testing.

As an Exhaust Design and Release Engineer, I am launching truck exhaust programs around the world. I work with our international suppliers to design, manufacture, and deliver parts to our global assembly plants. I also track Ford durability and assembly issues and work with our suppliers to identify and implement solutions.

I analyzed critical vehicle data and developed powertrain calibrations for the Mustang Mach-E GT and F-150 Lightning. I built Excel and Python tools to extract vehicle data from our shared database and compile it in seconds. I also wrote a Matlab script that parses vehicle recording data in chronological format and calculates critical moving time window averages. I used this script and prototype trucks to spearhead local F-150 Lightning trailer tests and train a critical component thermal model. Finally, I researched, coordinated, and led an F-150 Lightning towing sign-off test spanning 2 weeks and 2200 miles across California.

I learned and applied 1D Flomaster software to model vehicle component coolant flowrates and dynamically evaluate V8 Mustang cooling system changes. Then, I learned 3D Star-CCM+ modeling software and used it to virtually sign off F-Series Super Duty diesel high pressure cooling systems. Finally, I led our team's transition to 3D Simerics software through completing fill and deaeration analysis sign-off on our first HEV program. Furthermore, I completed a divergence study to develop best practices for our specific Ford applications.

I launched the 2021 F-150 powertrain at Dearborn Truck Plant during the COVID-19 pandemic. I tracked all powertrain build issues and reported concise progress reports to the vehicle team. For build issues getting insufficient attention, I resolved them through assembling and leading teams of manufacturing, design, and supplier SME engineers. I also followed onsite day and night builds, noting build issues and leading onsite trials to identify and fix them.

I worked on the 2021 F-150 Raptor and 2023 Bronco Raptor, developing customer-centric attributes, tracking prototype testing, and designing accessories. I developed an off-road camera washer concept and led software/hardware feasibility discussions to assess implementation timing and cost. In parallel, I tracked prototype vehicle pedigree and coordinated vehicle component upgrades with suppliers, engineers, and shop staff. I also took the initiative to download and learn Catia CAD and FEA tools to design a custom off-road dune flag bracket accessory.

I interned as an early product development engineer in Ford's Air Induction Systems department. During my summer with Ford, I collaborated with 7 suppliers and 5 cross-functional teams to complete prototype, benchmarking, and warranty projects. Most notably, I reduced air induction tube dunnage by improving port strength through biomimicry, FEA studies, and physical verification tests. I also developed a cost-saving plastic compression limiter through assembling and leading a team consisting of CAD, FEA, and supplier engineers.

I learned about aluminum die casting machines, machining and assembly processes, and automated integration. I also learned about troubleshooting aluminum die-casting production lines. Lastly, I recorded and analyzed porosity data to improve a new production before its launch.

I helped optimize workplace and learned to use engineering-related computer programs. I also Learned about the processes cold-forming, hot-forming, and superplastic-forming titanium and aluminum parts for the aerospace industry.I also learned about the process of mining, refining, and forming titanium blocks
