SHARE Sonoma County creates genuinely affordable housing. Essentially, we go after empty bedrooms or other types of available housing to create housing for those who have very little or no income, matched with home owners (or renters with ability to sublet) who need additional income or assistance in order to remain home safely to 'age in place.' Since its inception in August 2014 SHARE continues to focus on creating housing through its home sharing or shared housing model, whether it's an empty bedroom, a granny unit, or an Accessory or Junior Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU/JADU), Finished Room Over the Garage (FROG), empty land to house a mobile home, etc. We encourage HUD voucher usage and assist property owners with this approval process.During this pandemic and with the eviction moratorium lifting early next year, shared housing is fast becoming an even more essential housing option to prevent homelessness for those who have suffered job loss, behind in rental payments, at risk of housing instability and possibly, for the first time, on the verge of homelessness. Another housing model of ours is Community Houses whereby the owner does not live in the property. SHARE manages the home to ensure each bedroom is generating rental income for the owner thereby creating another housing alternative through communal living. Community and a sense of well-being is an incredible outcome of our home sharing program.

SHARE Sonoma County was brought in to partner with PPSC, the intent being to further develop the business and have SHARE be a separate nonprofit organization in several years. PPSC afforded Amy Appleton an umbrella in order to further have to develop her SHARE home sharing program. This was successful and SHARE became it's own entity effective August 1, 2016.

I facilitate all tours at Windsor Care Center of Petaluma, constantly staying in touch with all hospitals in Sonoma, Napa, Marin and San Francisco counties, with focus on extremely quick turn-around of all referrals on a daily basis. Am responsible for verifying all insurances for each referral and am quite familiar in verifying Medicare, Medi-Cal and HMO-type insurances. I am very careful to provide the support necessary to ensure the needs of each new resident are met as he/she or family member transitions into our facility for either short-term/rehabilitation or long-term custodial care. It is paramount that internal communication for each new resident prior to admission is properly distributed to nursing, rehabilitation, dietary, finance and social services departments.My administrative duties include spending a large amount of time with phone communication and and completing all of the necessary admissions paperwork at time of admission.

Developed a successful Home Sharing program by matching those with housing and an empty bedroom with those, mostly extremely income, seeking housing throughout Sonoma County. It was obvious this is a successful model as we quite quickly received a large demand for housing.

Established key accounts for the Northwest. Partnered with Sun and HP Resellers and helped introduce lease finance and a new avenue to generate revenue.
