I am the Sustainable Transport Officer at Wyndham City and I enjoy being able to interact with people from different cultures and working as a team to make a difference within the local community. I like to speak, co-ordinate and engage with people who have similar ideals, interests, and thinking as myself. My achievements in the last year and a half include:• Implementing alternative ideas;• Networking with internal/external customers, families and community centres; and• Working with local Indigenous Groups to incorporate their culture into various paths including Active Travel to School and the new Indigenous Community Centre.As challenges arise in my role, I use these as an opportunity to expand my knowledge and awareness whilst researching potential solutions. I like to utilise resources available within the community and recently have begun talks with relevant organisations to utilise local Indigenous symbols within path markings as well as incorporating areas of interest and significance to the Kulin Nations People along school's chosen paths.

I made decisions in the absence of the Coordinator and Manager on resolutions for difficult/disputed situations, and providing support to the Administration Officers dealing with the customers. When staff took sick leave, I arranged for replacement staff, and if no staff were available, I coordinated with the Customer Service team to have them assist with excess phone calls. I managed a stationery budget between $3,000 and $4,000 per year which incorporated monitoring the spending, maintaining stationery supplies, and processing invoices for payment. During the busy periods of the year, I assisted the Waste Services Unit in responding to phone calls, lodging forms and following up on services.
