I have over 18 years of experience within the Environmental sector working in consultancy, major infrastructure, local and state government and utilities. I have worked in a number of positions within the Environmental sector include; Environmental Engineer, Advisor, Officer and Planner. I have been employed by a number of private consultancy companies [Stantec (formally MWH Global), Aurecon (formerly Connell Wagner)], State Government Special Purpose Vehicle [City North Infrastructure (CNI)], Local Government [Brisbane City Council (BCC)], Civil contractors [CPB Contractors] and State Government Owned Corporation [Seqwater]. My current role is Senior Environmental Advisor (southern region) at Seqwater. I provide strategic advice across all facets of the organisation including; capital works, operational works, minor works, major works, incident management, lead audits and inspections (IMS), review and development of quality assurance documents, compliance reports, investigations and general environmental management. Managing the environmental compliance and regulatory requirements of the southern region for assets such as a number of water and wastewater treatment facilities, waterway barriers, offset sites, development approvals and various legacy conditions of approval at a number of recreational, irrigation and water treatment sites within the region. I regularly liaised with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, contractors and the community to identify and manage issues of concern or compliance.My key responsibilities were● Monitoring compliance with the Coordinator General’s conditions, project deed and legislation● Inspecting compliance on site regularly and during various high risk activities, particularly forErosion and Sediment control along waterways and air quality management techniques.● Analyzing environmental monitoring data, incidents and complaints.● Investigating complaints and impacts of proposed work.● Reviewing project documentation; Environmental Management Plans (EMPs), Area Environmental Plans (AEPs), Site Environmental Plans (SEPs), non compliance/ incident reports and monthly reports.● Observing independent compliance audits on the contractor.● Attending community liaison groups.● Liaising with various stakeholders and regulatory authorities.

The title of my thesis was "Bioremediation of Persistent Organic Pollutants in Soil". This project was funded and carried out at Butler Partners. It involved a literary review and laboratory analysis of soils with high concentrations of Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) which were treated by various biological methods. The experimental biological treatments were tested over a short period of time and soil samples for send regularly for analytically analyse at a NATA accredited laboratory. The results, methodology and findings were compiled into a report for the company and the University. Furthermore this was then presented at an expo day.
