I edited Weld, a progressive Birmingham weekly newspaper publishing news, commentary, arts criticism,original reporting, offering different views from throughout the Birmingham community, and maintaining a robust and growing presence on the web (at weldbham.com).

I directed and managed marketing and communications, including public and media relations, for one of the finest art museums in the Southeastern United States.

Besides writing, I coordinated Texas Living, edited Tennessee Living, (North) Carolina Living, and South Carolina People&Places.
