Pamela Gomez has spent a career in aviation, which began as a Private Pilot at Beaver County Airport in Pennsylvania at the young age of 16, then by way of Penn State Aerospace Engineering, spent 7 years as an Navigation and Landing Engineer with Science Applications International Corporation. After leaving SAIC, she served as a Program Manager at the Federal Aviation Administration Program Management Office as the Geostationary Satellite Program Manager for the Wide Area Augmentation System. In 2013, Pamela was appointed as the NextGen Performance and Outreach NextGen Advisory Committee Liaison, where she served until 2018, when she was asked to lead the FAA's finalization efforts of operational integration to meet the ADS-B 2020 mandate. Pamela now serves as a senior aviation policy advisor and FAA fellow for Senator Tammy Duckworth, Chair of the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Aviation Subcommittee, working to improve aviation policy and pass a FAA Reauthorization. Pamela has a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering (BSAE) and a Masters of Science in Systems Engineering (MSSE).
