Tom is a health insurance and benefits consultant specializing in services for independent grocers in the northwest. He is the exclusive broker for Western Grocers Employee Benefits Trust and provides it members resources for their health insurance, life and disability insurance, as well as other related benefits products and services. He is a licensed insurance consultant in OR, WA, ID, MT.From 1983 to 1999 Tom worked for United Grocers and Grocers Insurance Group as Senior VP in charge of Sales, Marketing and Business Development. In this role he managed a national sales force and a network of agencies as well as an in-house Marketing/Advertising team.Starting in 1999 Tom owned his own consulting practice working with numerous business owners and executives to grow their companies and develop careers. His specialty is in Insurance, Executive Coaching and Marketing Strategy. Over these years Tom was also affiliated with Focus Point Consulting, Consistent Image, The Oakmont Group and Robert Bailey Design Services.Starting in 2012 Tom joined Unified Grocers Insurance Services where he provided insurance consulting for UGIS customers in the northwest. Ultimately this operation was sold just after Tom's departure in 2015. Tom continued in his consulting and services role with Western Grocers Employee Benefits Trust from 2015-2020 when he then was asked to act as the exclusive broker for The Trust.From 2016 to 2020 Tom included working part-time as a Real Estate Broker for Better Home's & Gardens. This was born out of a personal interest and a desire to learn.Tom has also developed business opportunities in the recreational Golf market. He authored and self-published the book - "Your Pocket Guide To Great Games For Golf" and published a guide to hosting successful golf tournaments.
