Surgical Theater integrates cutting-edge fighter jet flight simulation engineering to redefine medical imaging and visualization capabilities that empower both patients and physicians throughout the treatment continuum. Surgical Theater’s innovative imaging platform combines & enhances multiple imaging modalities to create a comprehensive, virtual reconstruction for various levels of interaction & immersion, facilitating a virtual tour inside the patients' own anatomy.

As a classroom teacher in a large middle school (1000 kids in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade), I was responsible for engaging 165 students in the 7th grade in the field of science. Content covered included chemistry, geoscience processes, World Savvy, and how to be a responsible and purposeful member of 21st century society. I really enjoyed the challenges that come with engaging 30+ students with different interests, social skills, study skills, habits, and values about one centralized idea or topic for a lesson. I feel very passionately about preparing our next generation for living a successful life, in whatever way they find they are most passionate about. I think it is of the deepest importance that we teach youth how to navigate in a world where information is more abundant than it ever has been, and how to apply their skills to real world problem solving and contribution to their communities.

Sollentuna Musikklasser (SMK) and the International English School in Enskede (IESE) are junior and middle schools in the surrounding area of Stockholm, Sweden, with student grades from 4 to 9. SMK offers a curriculum in Swedish, while the curriculum of IESE is given in English.As an all around substitute teacher, I step in and hold lessons for all years and all subjects, whenever a teacher needs help in providing a continuous education for their students in his/her absence. When necessary, I plan my own lessons to give the students different opportunities to learn and understand a new topic in a way that suits them best. In this role, I have inspired students to think about the ways their education can be applied to the real world through sharing my own experiences and insight. I provide both schools a reliable, and trustworthy resource for help when they find themselves in an emergency situation.

The Range of Motion Project (ROMP) is a US, Guatemalan, and Ecuadorian non-profit health care organization that provides ongoing prosthetic and orthotic care to patients who otherwise have difficulty gaining access to this care. As the Operations Manager, I have been responsible for international business partnerships and key research relationships in direct support of acquiring new software, hardware, end-user evaluation and delivery of technology. I managed projects of internal innovation in designing novel assistive devices and also improving conventional prostheses design. Furthermore, I initiated a nationwide network of prosthesis donations Components for a Cause; managing, placing, tracking orders and shipments of new and donated components to clinic locations in the US, Guatemala, and Ecuador. I conducted multiple system wide analyses of process flows and provided a series of recommended improvements. Lastly, I managed multiple volunteer medical trips to Guatemala and Ecuador and served as primary supervisor for a summer engineering internship program (Duke Engage).With this role on a team of only five, I have personally brought ROMP forward into the front lines of innovation and prosthetic care. ROMP is a pioneer in the use of digital technology in order to improve the efficiency of the start to finish process of building a prosthetic device, in reducing the amount of time it takes to deliver a quality device, and increasing access to a much wider audience of rural dwellers.
