I gave direction in the loading of trucks, efficiently processing materials as well as being responsible for product quality on both incoming and outgoing materials. I also had responsibility of properly staffing the departments based on flow. Created a database that would track material quotations, and production and outbound load metrics.

Provided sales support to customers looking for structural steel materials (angle, channel, beam, pipe, tubing, and plate). Utilized a network of vendors to procure non inventory materials as well (Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Bronze/Brass). Used AutoCAD to produce drawings from customer blueprints and descriptions in order to produce CNC programs for a High Definition plasma cutting table.

Worked directly with both customers and vendors on product quality issues as well as preventive measures. I was also responsible for the internal communications (network and phone systems), PC hardware and software upgrades, as well as installation, troubleshooting and upgrades of the ERP system.

Responsibilities Included establishing a tracking Manufacturing performance metric tracking system. Verified daily production output against standards and reported to production management. Used information to update standards and increase accuracy of manufacturing process. Supported Sales Engineering by defining manufacturing process and standards for new business opportunities.
