MY GOALS:To produce engaging video content and build effective video channels that support an organization's outreach efforts. To create independent films and videos that provide deep viewing experiences, expand perspectives and provoke new ideas. To help educate individuals on the theory and practice of filmmaking and film viewing.MY EXPERIENCE:Co-produced the "Many Voices" project for the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA), which created 17 short video works of art made by community members and inspired by works of art in the permanent collection. My role included concept development, camerawork, editing, post-production, project management and hands-on education. Works are available for viewing on mobile devices in the museum and online at: https://vimeo.com/channels/manyvoicesLed the Ann Arbor Film Festival as Executive Director for 4 years, building its audience and national profile, upgrading systems and infrastructure, expanding its base of supporters and programs, while guiding the organization through its historic 50th festival.Worked 4 years at Film Arts Foundation in San Francisco, in several positions including Director of Membership & Business Relations and Ad Sales Manager for Release Print magazine.Spent 5 years in business to business sales within the education and training industry, for a project management company – Project Mentors – and an experiential team-building company – One World Music.Serving on the Board of Directors for Arts Alliance in Ann Arbor and Advisory Board of the Aurora Picture Show in Houston, TX.
