The Field Spectroscopy Facility (FSF) provides field-ready spectroscopy survey equipment and expertise to the entire UK research community. The FSF acts as an ‘equipment library’, providing one-to-one training and instrumentation to academics and researchers. I undertake hyperspectral and multispectral ground and aerial surveys. I ensure that all FSF equipment is maintained to a high degree of accuracy calibrated against NPL standards, and I train users so that they can use the equipment to their full potential while in the field.Key Responsibilities:• dGPS surveys• Hyperspectral and Multispectral surveys• UAV Surveys• Development and delivery of training materials• Survey equipment maintenance, testing and calibration• Survey equipment development and procurement• Responsibility for equipment worth over £2million• Organisation of, and participation in, multi-day remote and local fieldwork expeditions• Risk assessments and hazard management• Validation of aerial surveys

Collection of data on land cover / land use and agri-environmental data using GISmapp, with information then being input into the LUCAS Data Management Tool software for quality control and processing.
