VENDOR DEVELOPMENT and PURCHASE ACTIVITIES 1. Floating enquiries to the approved vendors after receipt of purchase requisition from user dept.2. Preparation & evaluation of quotations received from vendors.3. Proficient knowledge in Part Costing based on processes involved.4. Analysing and conducting price negotiations and price finalization with technically approved and competent vendors for following commodities like Raw bars, machining and fabricatation components, Castings, Rubber, Epoxy Items and bought out items and handing over to purchase team for regular procurement.5. Preparing and Price finalizatation for Capex items.6. Quality and cost savings of the selected vendors.7. Alternate Source development each commodity for Cost Saving.8. Compliance of negotiated contracts with the existing legal and procurement policies/procedures.9. Providing parts cost details for Sales, Design & Marketing team for submission of quotes to enquire stage.10. Negotiation for annual discounts with suppliers for regular parts.11. New Part Development in close coordination with Design & QA departments.12. Executing VA VE activities for cost reduction.13. Preparation of monthly, annual cost savings plan for parts and new source implementation.14. Identification and developing new vendor’s selection for machining and fabrication components, Raw materials like raw bars. Castings, Epoxy Items, Rubber component etc.

Identification and developing new vendor’s selection for machining and fabrication of out sourcing components.9. Material control (order to delivery)-Material Requirement planning, ordering, procuring of assembly components based on production orders.10. Working MRP system in SAP material management module. 11. Release delivery schedules and forecast (monthly and yearly) with approved vendors.12. Coordinate with the production planning and BOM preparation team.13. Call of schedules and PO given in SAP for regular suppliers as per production plan.14. Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of material by frequent visits to their plants and finding the root cause of delay to sort the issue. 15. Follow up with accounts for the timely payment to the suppliers.16. Co-ordination with QA Dept. for resolving supplier quality issues.17. Developing long-term partnerships, managing day-to-day supplier performance to ensure meeting of service, cost, delivery and quality norms.18. Create and maintain a database of all products, with vendor details and pricing details.19. MIS tracking on supplier delivery performance & organizing for review meetingsFor Non-performing suppliers.
