I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelors degree in Business and a minor in Finance. During my time at SHSU, I began at an entry level position with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension as a Financial Specialist. Since obtaining my degree, I have worked to excel my career within the Extension agency and currently hold the position of Financial Accountant III. My responsibilities include reconciling multiple accounts regularly, identifying inconsistencies, contacting the appropriate party for corrections, building rules and procedures to streamline the accounting system, and processing gifts received by the Extension agency. My background is focused primarily in financial experience such as accounting, banking, money handling, reconciling, and data entry.Skill I have gained in my career consist of customer service, problem solving, organization, ability to work on a team or alone, understanding of financial accountant processes and procedures, money handling, and more. I am also knowledgeable with programs such as Microsoft Office, FAMIS, TRecs, Laserfiche, Concur, Workday, and more.
