Within the functional products and surfaces group, I act as material chemistry expert, with a focus on functional ink formulation. I develop and manage innovative projects in collaboration with colleagues, interacting directly with our partners and customer. I perform technical and market research necessary for product and process development. Organization and execution of training sessions on functional printing.

Starting from end-user request, I developed and managed a project involving 10 industrial and academic partners on additive manufacturing (3D Flexible Electronic Board Project - 3D FEBO). After selecting and involving the interested players, I proposed and agreed to a shared working plan and lead its realization bridging between technology providers and end-user.Moreover, I worked hands-on on as material chemist, synthesizing conductive materials, and formulating inks for ink-jet printing.

Within the basic medical technology department, I worked as material chemist in an international and multidisciplinary group on the development of detector for medical imaging. My activity was part of a EU funded research project (ITN Marie Curie OSNIRO 607585) which allowed me to exchange and collaborate with industrial and academic partners throughout Europe. I developed and run several R&D collaborative projects within the network, which led to scientific articles and two patents.I trained several visiting PhD candidates and myself have been in research labs in the Netherlands (TUe Eindhoven) and Germany (FAU Erlangen).

On the one hand, I worked on the synthesis and characterization of monomers and polymers for organic electronics and on the development of a device for testing the mechanical stability of multilayer structures. On the other, I have developed R&D projects with partners in different European countries. During an industrial internship of 8 months (OPVIUS GmbH, Germany) I had my first R&D experience in an industrial environment.
